Free2move, a mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) provider, has expanded its SaaS marketplace by integrating DriveItAway’s vehicle subscription solution. The move strengthens Free2move’s position in auto retail, where it now serves thousands of dealerships worldwide.

One Marketplace, Multiple Solutions

The Free2move SaaS platform is structured as a modular marketplace, designed for quick integration of third-party services. Current offerings include insurance, fleet-on-demand services, broker integrations and now DriveItAway’s subscription-to-ownership technology. The goal is to support dealership sales performance while improving operational efficiency.

'Free2move Powered by DIA' Integration

The new “Free2move powered by DIA” service works within existing dealership sales processes. DriveItAway’s subscription model provides customers with immediate access to vehicles without long-term commitments or large upfront costs. For dealerships, the program is designed to improve vehicle turnover and generate additional sales opportunities.

Benefits for Dealers and Customers

Customers using the service can access vehicles without credit checks or down payments, with the option to move toward ownership. Dealers benefit from lower acquisition costs, expanded customer reach and improved management of used-vehicle inventory.

Free2move North America Managing Director Benjamin Maillard said the modular SaaS approach was created to align mobility tools with traditional dealership operations. DriveItAway CEO John Possumato added that the integration allows dealerships to adopt the subscription model without disrupting existing workflows.

Managing Used-Car Inventory

The program also gives dealers access to an externalized used-car inventory pool. The feature is intended to help manage aging inventory, improve margins and adapt more quickly to shifts in market demand.

Looking Ahead

Free2move’s SaaS marketplace is designed to scale with future mobility innovations, including technologies such as autonomous vehicles and urban air transport.
