The updated Lincoln Nautilus SUV won a top safety award, drawing a description of “stellar” from the awarding group.
The vehicle passed front and side tests, including one that stresses back-seat safety, plus a test evaluating pedestrian front crash prevention, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said.
Its headlights also passed muster, and its structure withstood another crash test well, with no increased injury risk.
The redesigned midsize luxury SUV received the nonprofit insurance industry group’s highest award, the Top Safety Pick+.
