Tesla’s European headaches worsened as a union strike in Sweden stretched to neighboring Denmark, according to news reports.

Texas-based Tesla, which isn’t unionized in its home country, where it’s the electric-vehicle market leader, nevertheless has union workers across the Atlantic.

In Sweden, the small IF Metall union has been striking the company after a failed collective agreement, saying it has tried to negotiate with Tesla for a “long period of time.”

Now the 3F union in Denmark has joined in the pushback, ceasing to unload or transport Tesla vehicles to Sweden, news reports said.

The developments come as Tesla and other nonunionzed carmakers in the U.S. face new efforts among employees to organize under the United Auto Workers, which forged new contracts with the big three Detroit-focused automakers in October.

Many of the companies have raised worker pay since the UAW victories, and Tesla has done so in Germany.
