The ASE Education Foundation and the National Coalition of Certification Centers, or NC3, have forged a new collaboration aimed at enhancing and growing automotive technical education with secondary and post-secondary institutions across the U.S. The partnership is intended to strengthen collective efforts to meet current industry needs in the transportation service sector.

“We’re excited to collaborate with NC3, elevate the conversation and take action to address the technician shortage,” ASE Education Foundation President Mike Coley. “We value NC3’s commitment to preparing the next generation of automotive service professionals and look forward to working together to support and retain skilled talent in the industry.”

Through the joint initiative, the organizations will support high schools and community/technical colleges by ensuring that all automotive and diesel programs have the opportunity to earn ASE program accreditation. They will also promote certification standards and advance instructor professional development and training.

The foundation works to advance automotive service excellence and develop a skilled workforce while attracting future generations to careers in the automotive industry. NC3 was established to build strong industry partnerships with educational institutions to develop, implement and sustain stackable credentials with strong validation and assessment standards. It's a network of education providers and corporations that support, advance and validate new and emerging technology skills.

“Our partnership with the ASE Education Foundation underscores NC3’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry,” said  NC3 Executive Director Roger Tadajewski. “Together, we are empowering students to obtain competency-based training and credentials that employers value, helping to build a stronger, more skilled workforce.”
